In preparation for CBD COP 11, this meeting for indigenous and local community representatives in Latin America and the Caribbean will focus on: Article 8(j) (traditional knowledge); Article 10(c) (customary sustainable use); the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020 and the Aichi Biodiversity Targets; and the Nagoya Protocol on access to genetic resources and the fair and equitable sharing of the benefits arising from their utilization.
