Creation of a pool of experts in the field of cultural policies

PARIS, FRANCE: As part of a technical assistance project funded by the EU, UNESCO has created a pool of top experts in the field of cultural policies, aiming to strengthen the governance of culture in developing countries and contributing directly to the implementation of the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. Developing countries benefiting from the project may choose from the pool experts to carry out technical assistance missions in their country in fields relating to: institutional organization and cultural governance; cultural policies; integration of culture in sustainable development; sustainable development for the cultural sector; development of cultural industries; financing of culture and cultural enterprises; and management of international cultural cooperation projects.
